Biography

Sarah Costantino studied at the University of Federico II, Naples (IT), Chemistry and Pharmaceutics and in 2012 received her Ph.D. completed in Experimental Medicine. Thereafter, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow with Prof. Francesco Cosentino and Prof. Thomas F. Lüscher in cardiovascular research at the Institute of Physiology at the University of Zurich. Her research interests include epigenetic mechanisms of cardiovascular disease in diabetes and obesity. In 2013, Sarah Costantino received the ESC Young Investigator Award in Basic Science. Currently, Sarah Costantino works as Research Assistant in Cardiology at the Department of Medicine of Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm (Sweden).
