Biography
Urs Arnet studied pharmacy at the University of Basel and wrote his doctoral thesis in the department of cardiology of the Department of Internal Medicine under Prof. Thomas F. Lüscher at the Cantonal Hospital of Basel on the topic of nitrovasodilators and vascular regulation. After completing his PhD, he moved to John Hopkins University to work on endothelial nitric oxide synthase. In 1995, he returned to Bern as a research assistant, where he continued his research under Prof. Thomas F. Lüscher in cardiovascular research of cardiology at the Inselspital Bern. In 1997 he moved to Merck, Sharp & Dohme-Chibret AG in Glattbrugg.
