Biography
Mark Sexton is a British national with considerable international experience in Europe and Latin America. Mark was appointed as Managing Director of AMICORP URUGUAY S.A. in 2013. In 1996, Mark began his career in financial services at a trust company based out of Uruguay, covering Argentina and Brazil. He went on to work as a senior private banker for Société Générale based out of the Bahamas, and subsequently helped open the office for this bank in Uruguay in 1995. Later that year Mark joined UBS London on the ultra-high-net-worth desk for the Americas, becoming a director and deputy desk head of a USD 23 billion assets under management department. In 2010 he left to join Morgan Stanley to work on the Latin American desk in Geneva as executive director. In 2013, Mark decided to return with his family to Uruguay, which coincided with the establishment of our office in Montevideo. Mark has particular expertise in financial markets, particularly fixed income, and in working with ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. Mark is an English native speaker and is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese, and his interests run from Latin American art to cycling and football.
