Mr. David Y Chang

Biography

Mr. Chang brings more than 30 years of experience to his position on the Board of Directors, most recently as the Executive Vice President of Royal Philips Electronics and CEO of Philips Greater China from 2002 until his retirement in 2008. In his career at Philips, which began in 1979, he has also worked in sales management, business management and general management. When appointed as the President of Philips Components Division in the Asia Pacific, he was instrumental in the formation of two major Joint Ventures between Philips and LG Electronics in both the TFT LCD and the CRT fields, and was nominated as the first Chairman for LG. Philips LCD and Supervisory Board Member for LG. Philips Displays. In his last 7 years with Philips China, Mr. Chang formed Philips� first China strategy which resulted in very successful business growth of Philips in China through competence build-up and strong local partnership. Previous to his work at Philips Mr. Chang worked with Zenith in the development and manufacturing areas. Mr. Chang was born in Taiwan and is a graduate of Electronic Engineering from the National Chiao Tung University in Taiwan.
