Biography
Dr. Lee has more than 20 years of Cell line and biologic research experience in biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Prior to returning to Taiwan, Dr. Lee was a Research Fellow (director level) at Centocor, JNJ, then a Principal Scientist (director level) at Medimmune, AZN. When he was in China, he joined several biotech and bio pharmaceutical companies, such as Wuxi Apptech, Simcere and Zhejiang Teruisi Pharmaceutical serving as executive director or VP in biologic research, cell line development and preclinical areas. Since he went back to Taiwan in 2013, he was a VP, biologic research at PharmaEssentia between 2013 and 2014 and was a CMC adviser for BRIM Biotechnology in 2015. During his professional career, he developed several patented technologies and production cell lines to support several BLA and IND filings including those for Remicade, Simponi and Stelara. He was a winner of Johnson and Johnson Philip B. Hofmann Award in 2003 and was a member of Innovative R&D team in Jiangsu province, China in 2010. He also holds an Innovative Talent status in Zhejiang province, China since 2012. Dr. Lee holds a doctoral degree from University of Washington, Seattle, specialized in soil microbiology, and a MS degree in plant pathology from National Chung Hsing University in Taiwan.
