Biography
Alan has over 22 years experience working in and with North America and Asia. Originally from the UK, he was based in Japan for 16 years from 1992 until 2008. Prior to joining Intralink he spent five years with a Toyota-group spinout coordinating multi-vendor projects for international automotive OEMs including GM’s project to develop and manufacture a mass-market car for China in Shanghai. Alan joined Intralink in Tokyo in 2000 becoming a Project Director in 2003 and General Manager, Japan, in 2005. He has managed and directed a broad cross-section of projects across the unified communications, consumer electronics, software and IP sectors, and has driven revenues on behalf of Intralink’s European and US clients with Japanese carriers, banks, SIs, consumer electronics OEMs and semiconductor manufacturers. In 2007 Alan established Intralink America Inc. and in 2008 he relocated to Silicon Valley, where he is now responsible for promoting Intralink's services to North America-based technology companies, developing ties with the VC community and managing Intralink’s growing government services business working with US States in a trade and investment capacity.
