Biography
She is currently working as Assistant Professor in Department of Nutrition, I-Shou University, Taiwan.
Research Interest
Study of estrogenic activity from Pueraria lobata, Leonuri Herba, Millettiae Caulis, andZedoariae Rhizoma. A transactivation assay using CHO-K1 cell transiently transfected with either estrogen receptor α (ERα or ERβ and ALP reporter gene will use to determine whether the estrogenic effects of the samples were mediated via ERα and ERβ. This system we established can use to screen the selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). The ethanol extracts and purified compounds form Pueraia lobata and other gynecological Chinese herbal medicines including Leoruri Herba, Millettiae Caulis and Zedoariae Rhizoma, will screen by the transactive system to determine the estrogenic effect. Further, we will also study the estrogenic activity of these Chinese medicines on MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line and Ishikawa cell line.
