Chan Chok Meng

Biography

Mr. Chan gradated with First Class Honors in Translation from Hong Kong Baptist University. His research interests include ancient and early medieval Chinese literature, intellectual and translation history in ancient and contemporary China, and the material culture of China and Japan. He is now a part of the editorial team of the JAS Bulletin. He is also the Chinese translator of(In)visible Colors: Images of Non-Chinese in Hong Kong Cinema – A Filmography, 1970s – 2010s(forthcoming), an outcome of a research project headed by Prof. John Nguyet Erni and Dr. Louis Ho of HKBU Department of Humanities & Creative Writing.
