Biography
Yih-Fung Chen received her Ph.D from in Basic Medical Sciences National Cheng Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan She is working as Assistant Professor in Graduate Institute of Natural Products, College of Pharmacy/ Kaohsiung Medical University. Research interest is to uncover the remodeling of ion homeostasis during cancer progression and to explore the novel functions of ion transport systems in the regulation of tumor malignancy. With this research interest, my study focuses on the ion transport processes involved in intracellular calcium homeostasis of epithelial cells, and the application of these transport systems for target-based drug screening and discovery from natural products.
