Biography
My main interest is opical physics, with emphasis on the dynamical and symmetricalproperties of photon-matter interactions. A brief description is as follows.(1)Relativistic many-body dynamical theory of phton-matter interactions I derived the second-order formola for photoabsorption cross-section within the framework of relativistic many-body perturvation theory(MBPT).Applications of the relativistic MBPT to the spectrum of alkaline-earth atoms have been carried out.Ialso plan to propose relativistic theory of nonlinear optics, with the purpose of precisely predicting the nonlinear-optical properties of heavy atoms. (2)Symmety in photon-matter interactions I investigate the implications of fundamental symmetry in quantum optics and laser physics.I demonstarted that laser-induced transparency arises naturally as a consequence of time-reversalsymmetry.I also plan to study the mechanism of lasing without inversion from the viewpoint of time-reversal symmetry.
