Biography

Research work in our laboratory combines functional proteomics, molecular biology and disease mouse model to understand the detail mechanisms of the following specific topics: 1.To explore the signaling pathways crosstalk associated with EGFR-TKI resistant by functional proteomic approach and screen novel therapeutic molecules that can overcome EGFR-TKI resistant in NSCLC Taking advantage of several non‐small‐cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells with various EGFR status, we try to explore possible kinase signaling pathway involved in drug resistance by functional proteomics; dissect the potential molecular mechanism, assess the clinical significance of the mechanism and also try to screen and evaluate the response of novel therapeutic molecules for EGFR‐TKI resistant lung cancer therapy. 2.To investigate the regulation mechanisms of opposing forces of LCRMP-1/CRMP-1 pathway in cancer angiogenesis and stemness Recently, our laboratory has identified a novel pathway LCRMP-1/CRMP-1 that is an interesting phenomenon that living cells could use protein isoforms or splicing variants to counter-regulate cancer metastasis. Here, we will further clarify the role of LCRMP-1 and CRMP-1 in cancer angiogenesis and stemness, dissect their action mechanisms and develop specific aptamers or peptides that can be used as drugs to block LCRMP-1-mediated signaling on angiogenesis.
