Biography
Yaow-Ming Chen received the B.S. degree from National Cheng-Kung University, Tainan, Taiwan, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Missouri, Columbia, in 1989, 1993, and 1997, respectively, all in electrical engineering. From 1997 to 2000, he was with I-Shou University, Taiwan, as an Assistant Professor. From 2000 to 2008, he was with National Chung Cheng University, Taiwan. In 2008 he joined National Taiwan University where he is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering. His research interests include power electronic converters, renewable energy, power system harmonics and compensation, and intelligent control.
