Biography
To schedule the university’s academic calendar To amend regulations and ordinances pertaining to curriculum To supervise course offerings. To catalogue and publish the hours of full-time faculty. To compile and deliver the teaching schedules, student rosters, and teachers’ manuals. To coordinate the compilation of students’ matriculation manuals. To handle student course election, summer classes, intercollegiate course elections, credits, prerequisite courses for overseas Chinese students. To supervise the reproduction of exam questions for quizzes, mid-terms and finals as well as to make proctoring and seating arrangement for the exams. To coordinate the use of classrooms and labs for student clubs, departments and administrative offices. To publish students’ attendance records weekly and to notify parents of students who will be barred from finals due to absenteeism. To conduct teaching surveys of all departments, centers and programs. To handle the reproduction of handouts for full-time and part-time faculty as well as to handle the reproduction of printed matters for internal circulation. To log the teaching load of all faculty members. To coordinate university curriculum and meetings related to teaching matters. To review applications for qualifying exams. To coordinate course election and credit transfer procedures. To control budgeting of the division. To supervise student matriculation. To control the rosters for incoming, transfer, expelled, suspended, reinstated and graduating students. To approve matriculation reservation. To report matriculation records. To process the application for certificate of matriculation, and matriculation reservation. To handle applications and cancellations for transfers, minors, and double majors. To maintain the database for students’ names and addresses. To supervise the production and renewal of student IDs. To process the application for Chinese and English academic transcripts. To review students’ academic records for graduation qualifications. To verify students’ qualifications for certificate. To handle the filing, reviewing and mailing of academic records. To manage grades correction, and record entry. To administer the suspension, and expulsion of students. To adjust the academic rankings of the students each semester.
