Biography
Mark S. Hoplamazian has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Hyatt Hotels Corporation since December 2006 and served as its Principal Financial Officer from September 26, 2014 to April 20, 2015. Mr. Hoplamazian served as an Interim President of Hyatt Hotels Corporation from July 2006 to December 2006 and served as its Vice President from August 2004 to December 2004. He served as the President of The Pritzker Organization, LLC (TPO) from April 2004 to August 2009 and managed its merchant banking and asset management activities. He served at Pritzker for 14 years. He served in various capacities with TPO and its predecessors since its formation in 1997, including managing its merchant banking and investment activities. From August 2009 to December 2010, he served as Vice President of TPO. He held international mergers and acquisitions at The First Boston Corporation in New York. He participated on behalf of the Pritzker family business interests in the formation of Bay City Capital LLC. Mr. Hoplamazian served as an Advisor to various Pritzker family-owned companies, including Hyatt Hotels Corporation and its predecessors. Mr. Hoplamazian serves as Chairman of the National Advisory Council on Minority Business Enterprise. He has been a Director of Hyatt Hotels Corporation since November 2006. He serves as a Trustee of The Latin School of Chicago. He has been an Independent Director of V.F. Corporation since February 10, 2015. He serves as a Director at World Business Chicago. He serves as on the Advisory Board of Facing History and Ourselves, the Council on the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, the Board of Directors of New Schools for Chicago and Henry Crown Fellowship Program Board of Overseers. Mr. Hoplamazian served as a Director of Pritzker Organization, LLC from April 2004 to August 2009. He served as a Non Executive Director at Catlin Group Ltd. until March 2, 2004. He served as a Director of Reliant Pharmaceuticals, Inc. since August 1999. He is a Member of the Discovery Class of the Henry Crown Fellowship at the Aspen Institute. He is a Member of the World Travel & Tourism Council and the Commercial Club of Chicag. Mr. Hoplamazian is graduated with an AB in Economics from Harvard in 1985 and earned an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business in 1989.
