Biography
Dr. Diana Pauna is UCA’s Dean of Arts & Sciences. Her academic career spans several areas including diverse university management experience, teaching, curriculum development, project management, scholarly research and editorial work. Prior to joining UCA, Dr. Pauna served as Pro-rector of the Stockholm School of Economics (SSE) in Riga, Latvia and member of its SSE Riga Management Board.
Research Interest
Dr. Pauna’s research focuses on higher education management, graduate performance and collaboration between academia, enterprises, science and art institutions. She has published in the Journals of Baltic Studies and Entrepreneurship Education. Dr. Pauna contributed three chapters on assessing learning, internationalisation of higher education, and teaching and learning entrepreneurship in higher education for The Learning in Higher Education Series published in Oxfordshire, United Kingdom. She was involved in several projects related to entrepreneurship education, creative industries and the validation of non-formal and informal learning within the European Union. Dr. Pauna has also served as a member of the Supervisory Board, AIESEC Latvia Management Board, SSE Riga Mentoring Club, Baltic Journal of Management Editorial Advisory Board. She was also advisory of the Latvia Junior Achievement Programme and jury on its Teacher of the Year and I awards.
