Biography
Nasir Pirani heads the Resource Development and Public Affairs Department at UCA. Although he has recently joined the University, he has been associated with the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) for decades, and held a similar position at the Aga Khan University in Karachi for 17 years (1978-1996). He was instrumental in establishing the first Resource Development and Public Affairs Department at AKU, and helped raise over $150 million in donations, grants, and endowments. Thereafter he returned to the United States where he had a successful real estate investment and brokerage business. A graduate of Columbia University, and an architect by training, he now brings his broad-based experience to another start up university - UCA.
