Biography
He is a VC2020 Lecturer in Computer Science at De Montfort University (DMU) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. His teaching activity is oriented towards Mathematical Analysis whilst research is mainly about Metaheuristic Optimisation and its application to Robotocs, Embedded Systems, Image Processing and Data Mining. He is an Engineer in Electronics (BSc, University of Perugia 2008) and Telecommunications (MSc, University of Perugia 2011) and a Dr in Computer Science (De Montfort University, 2014) as well as in Mathematical Information Technology (University of Jyväskylä, 2016).

Computational Intelligence Optimisation: Memetic computing, Differential evolution, Large scale optimisation, Structural bias in optimisation algorithms
