Mr. Valentino E Mwinuka

Biography

Valentino E.B.H Mwinuka is a specialist Textile and clothing, currently is an Assistant lecturer in textile science, cultural aspects of clothing, interior design and Principles of craft and design to undergraduate students at Sokoine University of Agriculture in the Department of Food science, Nutrition and Family studies. He holds a M.A. degree in Textile, clothing and Accessories from higher Institute of Fine Arts ”Nikolay Pavlovich” in Sofia, Peoples Republic of Bulgaria. He holds a certificate of Bulgarian language from The Institute for foreign students ‘Gamal Abdel Nasser’ in sofia.,he did his Special Teachers’ certificate course in Fine Art at Butimba Teachers college. Formally, Mr. Mwinuka worked as a Tutor at Dar-es-salaam Teachers’ College, West London learning centre and Dar-es- Salaam Independent schools respectively.

Research Interest

Other duties in SUA, he has been active in supervising Research Projects for third year students, conducting fashion shows and exbihitions of cloth/attire and body accessories for second year students who are doing family and consumer studies. Also is conducting group excursion to textile related industries and institutions. In the Department food Technology, Nutrition and consumer studies saves as a Field Practical training Coordinator for Family and consumer studies degree programme
