Biography
Dr.Vongpaisarnsin is a forensic pathologist since 2002. He has professional experienced in medicolegal autopsy to determine a cause of death and identification of human body. The areas of his specialized expertise are forensic pathology, molecular autopsy using genetic informations to investigate a cause of death, forensic identification, forensic genetics, population genetics, next generation sequencing technology and bioinformatics. Dr.Vongpaisarnsin graduated his medical professional at Chulalongkorn university and finished his post doctoral fellowship program at Yale univesrsity in 2012. He is an executive board of Asian Forensic Science Networks (AFSN) in part of forensic DNA which working and providing education and research study between memberhip institutes. Dr.Vongpaisarnsin is currently a director of Forensic serology and DNA laboratory at faculty of medicine, Chulalongkorn university, Bangkok, Thailand.
Research Interest
His main research interests include forensic pathology, molecular autopsy, sudden undetermined death, human identification, forensic DNA, human genetics, population genetics, NGS, microRNA, tissue identification, DNA methylation study, GWAS and forensic bioinformatics.
