Biography
Özgür Asar obtained his PhD degree in Statistics and Epidemiology, from Lancaster University, UK. Prior to that, he obtained his BS and MSc degrees from the Department of Statistics, METU; and worked as a research assistant at the same place during his MSc studies. His current research is on developing novel statistical methods for real-life problems, and he works on both theoretical and applied statistics.
