Biography
Ozlem ER, M.D. is a Professor of Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology and Head of Department of Medical Oncology at Acıbadem University Medical Faculty, İstanbul, Turkey. She graduated from Hacettepe University Medical School. She became an Internal Medicine Specialist and a Medical Oncology Specialist in 1999 and 2*2, respectively. Dr. Ozlem Er was at MD Anderson Cancer Center, in the Medical Oncology Department , a Clinical observer under supervision of Prof Gabriel N. Hortobagyi and an AVON-AACR Cancer Biology Fellow at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA. She has received numerous awards including 29th ESMO Travel Award (Vienna, 2004), Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis 2004 Young Investigator Prize and Avon Foundation-American Association for Cancer Research International Scholars Award in Breast Cancer Research (2006). Her research interests include solid tumors- breast cancer, GI cancer-colorectal and gastric cancer, lung cancer-, targeted therapy. Professor Ozlem Er has several publications and has participated in many clinical studies.
