Biography
Born in Bursa in 1966, Cengiz TaÅŸ graduated from the Department of Industrial Engineering at BoÄŸaziçi University. Following his BSc degree, he started working at Kordsa as an Investment Planning Engineer in 1989. He joined Ak-Al Tekstil Sanayii A.Åž. in 1991 as a Budget Specialist, and held positions as Budget Chief, Budget Manager, Production Coordinator and Assistant General Manager for Planning, respectively. Between 2004 and 2011, TaÅŸ worked as General Manager at Ak-Al Tekstil, and since February 2011 has been working as General Manager and Member of the Board of Directors at Aksa Akrilik Kimya Sanayii A.Åž. According to the Corporate Governance Principles of the Capital Market Board, Mr. Cengiz TaÅŸ is not qualified as an independent member. He has held the above-mentioned positions within the Company during the last ten years, and he is still a member of boards of directors of Companies of Akkök Group.
