Prof. Hasin Ustunsoy

Biography

 Prof. Dr. HaÅŸim Üstünsoy was born in Gaziantep on 16 April 1960. He completed his primary and secondary school in Gaziantep between 1967-1977. After he studied at Ankara University Faculty of Political Sciences in 1979, he continued his education at Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine between 1979-1984. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the UludaÄŸ University between 1984-1986. He completed his specialist training in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery at the Uludag University between 1990-1996. Prof. Dr. Üstünsoy working at Kırıkkale National Education Medical Center between 1986-1989, Gaziantep National Education Medical Center between 1989-1990 respectively worked as a research assistant in the Neurovascular Surgery Department in the Faculty of Medicine at the Uludag University between 1990-1996, research assistant in Neurovascular Surgery Department and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery of Glasgow University between June-September 1995, as a cardiovascular surgeon in the Private KonukoÄŸlu Hospital between 1997-1998, assistant professor in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine at the Gaziantep University between 1998-2001, assistant professor in Cardiothoracic Surgery of Columbia University between September 1999 and January 2000, associate professor in Faculty of Medicine in 2002, associate professor and head of department in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery in the Faculty of Medicine at the Gaziantep University in 2005, associate professor and fellowship in Cardiovascular Surgery and Pediatric Cardiac Surgery at the Geneva University in 2006 and Deutschland Hearth Centrum Berlin in 2007-2008, professor in the Faculty of Medicine at the Gaziantep University in 2009, and as a Heart-Lung Transplant Director in the same university in 2010, and head of department and academic member of Pediatrics and Cardiovascular Surgery Department at the same time from 2013 to 2017.
