Biography

Mr. Ahmet Cemal Dördüncü was born in 1953 in Istanbul. After graduating from the Department of Business Administration, Çukurova University, he has performed graduate work in Mannheim and Hannover Universities. He started his business life in Claas OHG in Germany and continued in Mercedes Benz A.Åž in Turkey between 1984 and 1987. He joined Sabancı Group in 1987 and worked in different positions in Kordsa A.Åž. untill 1998. In 1998, he has taken general manager/chairman role in DUSA South America and DUSA North America in the group. In 2004 after his role of Strategic Planning and Business Development Group Head in Sabancı Holding, he became CEO of Sabancı Holding for 2005-2010. In 3 September 2012, Mr Ahmet C. Dördüncü become a part of the Akkök Group as an executive committee member and starting from January 2013, he become executive chairman of Akkök Group.Mr Ahmet C.Dördüncü knows English, German, Portuguese and Spanish. He is founding member of National Innovation Initiative. He is member of Endevor Turkey corporation and he was the chairman of TÜSÄ°AD Energy Work Group. He is stil a board member of International Paper company.According to the Corporate Governance Principles of the Capital Market Board, Mr. Ahmet C. Dördüncü is not qualified as an independent member. He has held the above-mentioned positions within the Company during the last ten years.
