Biography

He is born in 1962 in the Ulubey district of Usak. He attended primary and secondary school Ulubey, liseyi Ä°zmir Atatürk Lisesi. He graduated from Erzurum Atatürk University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences in 1983. In 1985-1986 academic year, he started his undergraduate education at Istanbul University Social Sciences Institute. Hayati Develi received his doctorate degree in 1993 and became associate professor in 1998 and professor in 2004. Academic life started in 1984 as a research assistant at Ege University Faculty of Literature. In 1991, he went to Istanbul University Faculty of Literature. During the academic year 1993-1994 he attended Turkish Language lessons at the Pedagogical Institute in the city of Çallı of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation. Between 2001 and 2010, she worked in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Istanbul Kültür University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences. He is currently a lecturer in the Department of Linguistics at the Istanbul University, Faculty of Letters. His field of study has been published books and articles related to historical linguistics of Hayati Develi which is a contemporary and historical Turkish Turkic language, publications of historical texts and books and essays on contemporary issues of Turkic. Professor Dr. Hayati Develi is a member of the Council of Higher Education, the Scientific Council of the Turkish Language Association and the TUBITAK Advisory Board.
