Biography

Researcher and writer (b. 1962, Adana). He completed his primary and elementary education in Adana. He graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty of Literature, Department of Turkish Language and Literature in 1985. In the same year, he started to work as a researcher at the department from which he graduated. His master's thesis was on Servet-i Fünûn (1987) and PhD thesis Intermediate Generation Poet, Mehmed Celâl - (1987) and PhD thesis The Form Changes in Modern Turkish Poetry until Servet-i Fünun 1993). After he completed his PhD in 1993, he became an assistant professor at the Department of Modern Turkish Poetry and became an associate professor in 1998. He continued his work at the same department. His essays on art and literature have been published in reviews such as Dergâh, Impression, Turkish Dili etc. Turkish Scientific Research and Journal of Turkish Language and Literature.
