Biography
On September 20, 1960, Altınkaya village of Hatay town of Altinözü came to the world. He completed his primary and secondary education in the same city and graduated from Antakya High School in 1977. In 1979, he started his undergraduate education at Istanbul University Faculty of Letters Department of History, Ottoman Institutions and History of Civilization and graduated in 1983 with his graduation thesis titled "Foundation Works of Mihrimah Sultan". In the same year he started his graduate studies in the Department of History of the Institute of Social Sciences, Department of History of Ottoman Institutions and Civilization, and graduated in 1986 with his dissertation on Ottoman Telegram Transmission (1854-1871) . He gave his PhD in 1996 with his dissertation on Establishment of Engineers and Engineers in the Ottoman Empire in Science and Education . He started to work as a research assistant in 1987 and became an assistant professor in 1997. He received the title of Associate Professor on 27 November 2000.
