Biography
He was born in 1969. He completed elementary, middle, and high school in Adana and received a Masters in Mechanical Engineering at Ortadogu Technical University. From 1993 to 2001, he fulfilled a variety of roles in BOSSA’s Velvet and Shirt-Production Departments. Murat Karadut started working at BOSSA in 1993 as an engineer in the Spinning and Weaving Department and became the manager of the Velvet Department in 2000. Then, between 2001 and 2009 he took responsibility of a variety of positions in the BOSSA Denim and Sport Apparel Departments. In 2001 he was responsible for marketing, product development and management, process control and enhancement, logistics, sales support, and the management and administration of the Quality Control Unit. By 2002, he was in charge of all responsibilities of BOSSA Denim and Sport Apparel and became the General Manager of BOSSA Denim and Sport Apparel. In 2009 he became a partner and the CEO of BETA Technology Services and was responsible for interacting and networking with foreign energy companies and keeping strong ties with Turkey’s Energy investing groups and Department of Energy. In 2009, he went on to work in the textile industry and became the co-founder and CEO of DNM Textile Industry and Trade. He managed the construction of a denim plant in Egypt. He handled the purchase of production machines and equipment, collaborated with local and international authorities, organized the steps leading up to product manufacturing and enabled the company to function at its best. During the same time period, Murat Karadut contributed to the import, selling, bargaining and distribution of petrochemical raw materials which helped the progression of the automotive and textile industry and eased the importation of resources such as plastic and white and brown goods. With the developing Turkish economy and increasing energy resource gap, Murat Karadut joined the Board of Directors of GENTEK Energy and Technologies as a co-owner in order to boost investment in production of electricity and update technologies in existing power plants to replace inefficient energy yielding technologies.
