Biography
Almila Akdag Salah studied at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) at the Department of Art History and studied the art of techno-social and its place in art history. He received one of his first scholarship applications for Digital Humanities at UCLA. After completing his Ph.D., he joined the Knowledge Space Lab project in Virtual Knowledge Studio (KNAW). In this project, he worked on Bilimmetri, one of the new science fields that produced science maps. After this project she joined the Digital Methods Initiative research group at the New Media Studies Department of the University of Amsterdam Almira. In 2011, she started to do a social network analysis of the social art platform named deviantArt with the Veni scholarship given by NWO (Netherlands Organization for Scientific Research). He continues to work with Lev Manovich and Lev Manovich (Software Studies Initiative), Albert Ali Salah (BoÄŸaziçi University, Department of Computer Engineering) and Nicu Sebe (University of Trento, Department of Informatics). KNOWeSCAPE is a member of the FP7 COST project committee.
