Biography
Fatima Tuba Yaylaci received her BA in Psychology from Bogazici University. She received her MA and PhD from the Institute of Child Development at the University of Minnesota, specialising in Developmental Psychopathology. She also completed the Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Program at the University of Minnesota and worked with children, adolescents and their families at Washburn Center for Children as an Intern Psychotherapist. In her doctoral dissertation, she studied the role of parental responsiveness in the development of co-occurring Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and anxiety symptoms focusing on the interplay between the genotype and the environment.
Research Interest
Child maltreatment, Trauma-related psychopathology, Dissociation, Parenting, Cultural adaptions in prevention and intervention, examining developmental risk through methods of behavior and molecular genetics.​
