Abdurrahim Ali Ural

Biography

He was born in 1959 in Samsun, Ladik. He completed his primary and secondary education in Ankara. His first poem was published in Mavera Magazine (1982). After I worked as an editor for a while after my high school education, I founded Åžule Publications. In 1989, he named a monthly art magazine called Ladder Art. In addition to this 24-issue magazine, he published a two-month book-culture magazine titled Kitaphaber. He also published poetry, stories and articles in these magazines, which he also directed. Among the magazines published and directed by Ural is MerdivenÅŸiir, a poetry and poetika magazine (2005-2007). A. Ali Ural, who was the head of Istanbul Writers Union of Turkey (TYB) between 2006 and 2012, was also a member of the Repertory Board of City Theaters. A. Ali Ural, who is a member of the executive board of the Istanbul International Poetry Festival and who teaches Creative Writing, Written and Oral Expression and Turkish Language lessons at the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University, He is the editor of Karabatak, an art magazine. Ural completed his master's degree in 2015 with his thesis entitled "The Fictional Structure of the Accelerated Forty Hours".
