Biography
She was born in Istanbul in 1963. She completed her secondary education at Sainte-Pulchérie French Girls' Middle School and high school at Saint Michel French High School. In 1987, she graduated from Yıldız University, Faculty of Architecture, Department of Architecture. Yıldız Technical University, Building Physics Program; She received her doctorate degree (2012) with her dissertation titled "Comparison of Cooling Loads of Constructions in Hot Climate Regions (Antalya, Diyarbakır Example)" and his thesis entitled "An Approach to Evaluation of Energy-Emergency Performance of Opaque Vertical Structure Shell". Between 1988-1995 she worked as an architectural design, application project, project coordinator and supervisor in her own architectural engineering office in Zonguldak. From 1995 to 2004 she worked in Istanbul as a project coordinator and construction site assistant for various architectural and interior architecture projects. Between 2004 and 2013, she gave theoretical and applied lectures in the field of architecture and interior architecture as a full time lecturer at the Istanbul University of Commerce, Faculty of Engineering and Design. In 2013 she received the title of Assistant Professor. She held numerous conferences, seminars, exhibitions and workshops. Since 2015, she has been working as a part-time instructor at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Maltepe University, where she teaches design studio, advanced construction techniques, technical drawing and construction-material lessons. As of April 2017, she was assistant at the Faculty of Architecture at İstinye University. Assoc. Dr. as the beginning of relative. There are Erkmen's articles and reports that continue their studies and studies on energy efficient design, building shell, active passive systems, solar radiation design relationship, design sustainability issues.
