Biography

H. Åžaduman OkumuÅŸ, who completed his undergraduate studies at Marmara University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration in 1986, completed her master's degree in Marmara University Banking and Insurance Institute Banking Program in 1992. She completed her doctorate (PhD) at Anglia Ruskin University Ashcroft International Business School (England) Dr. H. Åžaduman OkumuÅŸ started to work as an assistant professor in the Commercial Sciences Faculty of Istanbul Commerce University in 2002. Prof. OkumuÅŸ received her title of associate professor in the field of finance in 2005 (UAK) and professor in 2011. In 2011-2015, she worked in the Department of Banking and Finance, Faculty of Commercial Sciences, Istanbul Commerce University, A number of national and international empirical studies have been published on performance analysis of Turkish banking sector, BIST index return analysis, adaptation of EVA method to performance evaluation of financial institutions, longitudinal analysis from the perspective of economic policy of participation banking, demand, preference and satisfaction of participation banking products. Prof.OkumuÅŸ has been invited to work as a "Visiting Proffesor" at Durham University Business School (UK), participating in numerous international conferences with her academic work. Durham University conducted scientific research in the Center for Islamic Economic and Finance in 2012-2013. Prof. OkumuÅŸ is a member of The European Association of University Teachers in Banking and Finance. She worked as a Vocational Director at the Istanbul Commerce University, as Director of the Foreign Trade Institute and as Vice-Chancellor in charge of academic affairs. As of 2016-2017 academic year, she has been working with the faculty member of the Department of Business Administration of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences of Ä°stinye University.
