Biography
Born on May 25, 1968 in Ankara, Taner Özcan graduated from Çukurova University Faculty of Medicine in 1992. He graduated from Hacettepe Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Department of Health Management. Özcan, a physician in the state hospital and family health centers, started the referral at the Ministry of Health Treatment Services Directorate in the late 1990s and two years later, he worked at the General Coordinator of the Ministry Project. In this unit, he was a consultant on the World Bank project as a member of the "Health Interview Project" Inter-Institutional Working Group. Ozcan was the General Coordinator of the Private Hospitals Association (OSAD) between 2005 and 2007. Since 2009, he has been serving as the Patient Services Directorate in the Anadolu Health Center, as the General Manager in the Çamlıca German Hospital, as the Deputy Director in Memorial Sisli Hospital, Memorial Hospital Directorate in Diyarbakır Hospitals and finally Hospital Directorate in Memorial AtaÅŸehir Hospital. He is currently working as a Strategy and Performance Director in MLPCARE health group. Quality-accreditation in health services constitutes the fields of patient safety, leadership, project management, innovation and strategic management. Ozcan is married and has two children, motorcycles, basketball, photography and hobbies.
