Biography

Tayfun Utas completed his undergraduate education in 1998 at Yıldız Technical University Department of Mechanical Engineering and completed his MBA Turkish program at Istanbul University in 1994. Then, with the thesis titled "Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and an Application in Lean Production" at the Department of Business Administration of the Institute of Social Sciences, Istanbul University, the master's degree program was given to Okan University's Department of Business Administration on the subject of "Hybrid Business Specification Theory" Motivation completed his doctorate with graduation thesis. Tayfun Utas has implemented projects for Toyota Production and Lean Manufacturing systems throughout his business life. Has realized the leadership and implementation of many progenies in Production Compound Systems. The owner of "JIPM Instructor" certificate issued by JIPM Japan Institute of Plant Maintenance for Total Productive Management (TPM). After these studies, he received the "World TPM" award. MMO, ISO and Lean Sigma applications at various companies, TPM and Lean Manufacturing. Together with the Istanbul Chamber of Industry, he has written manuals for TPM and 5S for small and medium industry enterprises. He has a Six Sigma Barracks certificate and has directed many projects since 2012. Tayfun Utas, who started his business life in 1988 as a production chief in a private company, worked as a manager in different units of private companies between 1991-2017. Tayfun Utas works as an Operations Director in an international private company.
