Zeliha Görmez

Biography

Zeliha Görmez completed his undergraduate studies at Istanbul University Computer Engineering in 2006, master's degree in 2009, and doctoral degree in the Department of Computer Engineering at Istanbul University in 2014. Master's thesis "Natural Language Processing"; doctoral thesis is in the field of "bioinformatics". Between 2005-2006 he worked as a software engineer in private organizations. In this process, I developed various software using C # and MS SQL Server. He worked as a lecturer in Computer Programming Department between 2006-2010. He has taught Microsoft Office applications on the bases of database systems, development of web and desktop software using C # / JAVA languages ​​and MS SQL Server / MySQL databases. He worked as a research assistant in the Department of Computer Engineering of Istanbul University between the years of 2010 and 2012 and assisted in courses on machine learning, image processing and operating systems. He worked as an expert researcher in Bioinformatics field in Tübitak-Bilgem between 2012-2016. He worked in all genome and exom analysis, has developed various bioinformatics software. As of today, besides his academic work, he is also carrying out software projects in the field of bioinformatics in a private organization. In his academic work he has focused on the processing of machine learning methods in various disciplines (medicine, biology, natural language, economics, environmental engineering). There is a book on natural language processing. Numerous articles published in SCI-indexed journals and internationally acclaimed journals, including those considered among the most prestigious journals of bioinformatics and medical genetics; There are many papers / posters presented at national-international conferences.
