Biography
Dr. Arslan Yıldız is currently an assistant professor at Izmir Institute of Technology (IZTECH), Bioengineering Department. Previously she was an assistant professor at Okan University, Genetics and Bioengineering Department and she was a visiting fellow at the Canary Center for Cancer Early Detection, Department of Radiology, Stanford University School of Medicine. She received her BSc degree in Chemistry in 2003 from Hacettepe University and she received her MSc degree in 2006 in Chemistry from Middle East Technical University. She received her Ph.D. in Biology in 2010 from Max-Planck Institute Polymer Research and Johannes Gutenberg University. Her research has been recognized by international awards including; UNESCO-Loreal International Programme and TR35 – Innovators Under 35 by MIT Technology Review in 2014.
Research Interest
Dr. Arslan Yıldız specialized in the field of artificial cell membrane and membrane receptor research. Her research interests revolved more towards applications of biotechnology, including biomimetic systems, microfluidic diagnostic tools, drug screening, tissue engineering and biopreservation
