Lightwave communication systems and components, ,Optical fiber transmission ,Optical fiber networks ,Polarization holding special fibers and free-space optical links ,Simulation and designing of all-optical network components such as switches, routers and add/drop multiplexers ,Experimental realization of ultra fast all-optical switching nodes based on D-fiber, nonlinear optical effects and dielectric grating structures.
