Andre Westerveld

Biography

Andre’s career has included roles in R&D, marketing, sales and general management working in pharmaceutical, crop chemical, fertiliser and industrial industries. He studied Pharmacy and then B.Com Economics before spending three years in the UK in R&D. On his return to South Africa he worked for Dow AgroSciences in product development, then moved into the marketing department and later into sales, while also completing an MBA. Andre spent a few years as General Manager in the fertiliser industry working for Yara in the Sub-Sahara Africa region, during which time he became involved in the African Green Revolution (AGR). Andre then moved to 3M managing the industrial business. He joined Elanco as Country Director in January 2014.
