Oya Pakdil

Biography

Received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Architecture in 1975. Received Her Ph.D. from Oxford Brookes University in 1983. Working at Yıldız Technical University on her return to Turkey. Has been promoted to Assistant Professor at 1985, Associate Professor at 1991 and Professor at 2000. Has worked under YTU Computer Aided Design group between 1991–2008. Her research is in the fields of sustainability, design for the elderly, residential design, architectural education. Worked in the joint research group of YTU and Leeds University in the project ‘Guidelines for the new settlement of Assos’ between 1991-1994 supported by the British Council.  Has been involved in the design of a number of architectural projects.
