Biography
He was born in Yozgat (Çayıralan), Turkey in 1948. He started his undergraduate study in the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Ankara University in 1965 and graduated in 1970. He was assigned as a Research Assistant to the Department of Animal Nutrition and Nutritional Diseases, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Ankara University in 1971. He has participated 2nd International Course on Dairy Cattle Husbandry (FAO-Fellowships) for 3 months, (March-June 1974) in Wageningen (Holland). He completed his PhD degree on sawdust using in dairy cattle rations in 1976. He got IAEA-Fellowship for visiting The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University Copenhagen-Denmark as a research assistant for 3 months in 1977. He has worked (September 1984-May 1992) as the Founding Lecturer at the Faculty of Veterinary, Selçuk University (Konya/Turkey). He participated International Course organized by IAEA in Austria in August 1985. He also visited to The Royal Veterinary and Agricultural University Copenhagen-Denmark the same University as a guest lecturer in 1987 for 3 months. He was assigned as an Associate Professor in 1981 and as a Full Professor in 1988. He has memberships in the following professional societies; Society for Scientific Animal Nutrition (Turkey, former president), Turkish Veterinary Medical Society (the current president), Turkish Branch of World Veterinary Poultry Association; Turkish Branch of Association World Veterinary Association. He knows English.
