Biography
Dr. Rose has created and grown multiple businesses in the life-sciences industry. He led the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) business at Perkin Elmer through an acquisition by Hoffman LaRoche in 1991; co-founded Genetic MicroSystems, a microarray instrumentation company that was sold to Affymetrix in 2000; served as CEO of NimbleGen Systems, Inc., in the years leading up to the acquisition of the company by Roche in 2007. Dr. Rose currently serves as CEO at Transplant Genomics Inc., and is president of Rose Ventures, a consulting company that focuses on the life science research products space. Dr. Rose received his BA from Cornell University and his PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
