Biography
AyÅŸe Ece Ungan received her BS degree in Industrial Engineering in 1986 and MBA degree in January 1989, from BoÄŸaziçi University, Istanbul, Turkey. She completed her Ph.D. at the Department of Business Administration, Bilkent University in December 2007. Her dissertation was on market discipline in banking in emerging markets. Articles from her Ph.D. dissertation were published in SSCI journals. During her Ph.D. studies, she taught undergraduate courses on Financial Management. During 1986-2014 she worked in corporate and commercial banking in two different banks. Since October 2014, she has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in Anadolu University, EskiÅŸehir, as a part-time instructor.
Research Interest
Her current research interests are banking, regulation, supervision and market discipline in banking, SME finance and financial management in SMEs.
