Biography
Azize Elif Yabacı was graduated from Middle East Technical University (METU) with a B.Arch degree in the Department of Architecture in 2009. She started her M.Sc studies in Graduate Program in Restoration and Preservation of Historical Monuments at Middle East Technical University (METU)same year and; she received her master degree with her thesis titled ‘The Role and Approach of Local Authorities in the Field of ‘Conservation’: Case Study in Hamamönü / Ankara’ in 2012. Currently, she continues to her PHD studies in Graduate Program in Conservation of Cultural Heritage at Middle East Technical University (METU). During graduate education, she worked in various architecture, restoration and planning offices and construction companies as an architect. Currently, she continues research studies on the role of local authorities in the field of conservation, conservation studies in historic city centers and cultural heritage.
