Biography
Emre Demir was born in İzmir in 1985. He received his high school education at American Collegiate Institute. He graduated from Ankara University with a BS degree in Economics in 2007 and with a MA degree in International Relations in 2010. He received his second MA degree in International Politics and East Asia form the University of Warwick in 2014. Presently, he continues his PHD studies on International Relations at the Middle East Technical University. Between December 2009 and February 2012 he worked at Economic Policy Research Foundation of Turkey (TEPAV), Governance Studies Department as a researcher. Currently he is working at TED University, Department of Political Science and International Relations as a research assistant. As part of his PHD studies, in the period from September 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018 he is working as a visiting researcher at the Peking University, PRC.
Research Interest
Emre Demir's research interests are Critical Theory, theories of hegemony and Chinese Foreign Policy.
