Biography
Gizem Kayar has received her Bachelor’s degree from Computer Engineering Department in Atılım University in 2007. In 2010, she received her Master’s degree from Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg in Germany with her thesis named “Smooth Surface Reconstruction for SPH”. She worked as a research assistant in Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg in between 2010-2014. In 2014, she received her PhD degree from Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg Computer Science Department with her topic “Efficient Surface Reconstruction for SPH Fluids” which was directed by Prof. Dr. Matthias Teschner. From April 2014 until February 2015, she worked as a Post-Doc in Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Research Interest
Gizem Kayar's research interests include efficient algorithms and data structures for the simulation and surface reconstruction for particle-based fluids.
