Biography
Dr. Huseyin Ugur Yildiz received the BS degree at Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2009; MS and PhD degrees at TOBB University of Economics and Technology, Ankara, Turkey, in 2013 and 2016, all in electrical and electronics engineering. He is with TED University, Ankara, Turkey as an assistant professor at the department of electrical and electronics engineering. Prior to joining TED University, he worked at Turk Telekom and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), Ankara, Turkey for six years and was responsible in the design of networking & communications architecture of several critical projects including unmanned aerial vehicles. His research focuses on the applications of optimization techniques for modeling and analyzing research problems on wireless communications, wireless networks, underwater acoustic networks, and smart grids. His current research interests also span many aspects of the physical, link, and networking layers of wireless communications, with a special emphasis on 5G and internet of things.
