Biography
Ismail Erkam Sula received his PhD (2017) from Bilkent University Department of International Relations and holds an MA Degree from the same department (2011). He has previously worked as a research assistant at Bilkent University (2009-2013) and is currently employed as a research coordinator at the International Relations and Strategic Studies (IRSS) Institute of Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University (AYBU), and a research associate at the Department of International Relations of AYBU. Dr. Sula previously worked as a researcher (2013-2015) at a project funded by the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK), entitled as “112K163: Turkey’s Foreign Policy Roles: An Empirical Approach.”
Research Interest
His research interests include: foreign policy analysis, international law and organizations, philosophy and methodology of social sciences, and international relations theory. His research is presented at numerous national and international conferences and published in international peer-reviewed journals including: Uluslararası İlişkiler, Perceptions, Alternatives: Turkish Journal of International Relations, and Politikon: IAPPS Journal of Political Science. He is currently teaching International Organizations, and Foreign Policy Analysis at Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Turkish Foreign Policy at Bilkent University, and International Law at TED University.
