Biography
He received his undergraduate degree from the Department of Business Administration of the Faculty of Political Sciences of Ankara University and his master's degree from the University of Illinois. He started his career in 1988 as an Accountant in the Ministry of Finance. Between 1997 and 1998, he worked as a part-time instructor at Bilkent University and as the Vice President of the Financial Crimes Investigation Board of the Ministry of Finance. He joined Koç Holding in 1998 as a Financial Group Coordinator. He served as KoçtaÅŸ General Manager between 2002-2007, Migros General Directorate in 2007-2008, Arçelik General Directorate in 2008-2015 and Koç Holding Durable Consumption Group President in 2010-2015 . ÇakıroÄŸlu, who was appointed as Deputy CEO of Koç Holding in February 2015, has been serving as Koç Holding CEO since April 2015.
