L. Allen Sanders

Biography

Mr. Sanders was named Vice President of Gulf of Mexico Operations in May 2017. Previously he served as Vice President of Operations for Algeria and President and General Manager of Anadarko’s subsidiary in Beijing, overseeing the company’s operations in Bohai Bay. Prior to this, he served as General Manager of Eastern Gulf of Mexico Deepwater Assets and Vice President and General Manager of Anadarko’s Texas Gulf Coast Development and Exploration.

Research Interest

Mr. Sanders received his Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from The University of Texas and is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School General Manager Program. He serves as a Board of Director of the International School of Beijing, Society of Petroleum Engineers Beijing China Section and The Capital Club Petroleum Committee. As a former Eagle Scout, he is a current and active supporter of the Boy Scouts of America, and is a competitive member of the United States Tennis Association.
